WWII US M1 Helmet Swivel Bale
Item: WWII4644

Mid-war M1 helmet.  Has a front seam, stainless steel rim, swivel bales.  Chin straps are khaki sew-on with darkened fittings.  Original paint is OD with cork aggregate mixed in.  Heat stamping on the inner front of the shell appears to be "202D".  Front of the shell has a PFC. rank painted on in black.  Inside of the shell has athletic tape adhered presumably to make the liner fit snugly.  Fine uncleaned and unaltered example. Liner is a WWII period Westing House.  Webbing is in excellent condition.  Missing the sweatband, nape strap and chin strap.  Outer shell is dark OD green painted.  Has two cracks to the reverse.
